The Farmhouse is located on the slopes of Mount Etna, at 550 mt above sea level, in one of the oldest and most fascinating of Etna villages, Trecastagni, called “Belvedere of Etna”. Etna is the highest European active volcano, whose lavaflows offer a unique sight, evocative and amazing.

In this context arises the holiday home “Biologico dell’Etna” by Pasqualina Pulvirenti (formerly known as Agriturismo Biologico dell’Etna), located in a healthy and peaceful area, cool in summer and mild in winter.
The building has been completely renovated, with particular attention to seismic compliance, using natural and ecological materials such as Sicilian terracotta, lava stone, white stone jambs, and wooden fixtures.
In 2009, the building was equipped with solar panels, in line with its environmental and energy-saving policies. The system was expanded to cover the entire roof in 2022.
The property offers short-term rental accommodation, with a minimum stay of three nights.
It is also accessible to people with disabilities.

Guests have access to five rooms, each with a private entrance and a total of four bathrooms.
Given this, it became essential to modify the room layout so that each guest can enjoy their indoor and outdoor spaces without interference from other guests.
All rooms are equipped with a refrigerator, blankets, bedspreads, duvets, and personal linens (sheets, pillowcases, towels, bidet towel, and bath towel). Each room also includes a kitchenette with a sink, induction cooktop, dishes, and an espresso machine suitable for tea or cappuccino, along with a welcome pack including coffee and sugar. Guests can prepare their own breakfast at a time that best suits their schedule for the day.
Outside, there is a playground for children. The Limone and Kiwi rooms each have an outdoor area with a table under a kiwi pergola to provide shade during hot days, while the Arancio room has a table under a gazebo and access to a large kitchen.
These rooms can be connected via a door: the Limone room with the Ulivo (for four beds), and the Kiwi room with the Arancio (three and two beds respectively, for a total of five beds).
What the surroundings of Trecastagni offer (Catania at 10 km, Acireale at 7 km)
Guests can enjoy all kinds of sports activities: from hiking on Mount Etna to winter skiing, ice skating, boating, and swimming along the Ionian coast, as well as horseback riding, five-a-side football, football, tennis, gym, model car racing, cycling and mountain biking, and hiking on the natural trails of Mounts S. Nicolò, Gorna, and Ilice. For golf enthusiasts, there is a course about 20 km away.
During their stay, guests are provided free of charge with itineraries and brochures of local attractions to help them plan their visit. The nearby motorway entrances make it easy to reach all parts of eastern Sicily, including the provinces of Messina, Siracusa, Ragusa, Enna, and Agrigento.
